A$AP Rocky Arrested in Connection to a Shooting Last November
Rakim Mayers, also known as A$AP Rocky, was arrested in LAX on Wednesday.
Rapper A$AP Rocky, lesser known as Rakim Mayers, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport upon his return from a holiday at 12:42 p.m. on Wednesday. The arrest followed police investigations into the star’s involvement in a non-fatal shooting that took place in Hollywood last November. The victim stated that Mayers was accompanied by two other people and approached him with a handgun, shooting him three to four times, one of which the victim believed to have grazed his hand.
Mayers has since been released on bail of $550,000, remaining in jail for less than three hours. Law enforcement sources have stated that a search warrant has been executed at the rapper’s home in Los Angeles ahead of Mayers’ court date set for August 17th, 2022.
