Arcane Season 2 is about to get even more legendary, and Gkids is leading the charge. On February 19, 2025, the award-winning distributor announced that it has snagged the worldwide video and digital transactional rights (excluding China) for the final season of Arcane—the critically acclaimed animated saga from Riot Games and Fortiche Productions.

This isn’t just another licensing deal; it’s a full-throttle celebration of a series that’s redefined animated storytelling. Following a record-breaking debut on Netflix in November 2024 and an unprecedented run in the charts, Season 2 promises to wrap up the epic tale of Vi, Jinx, and the high-stakes world of Piltover and Zaun. With the success of Season 1 (remember that sold-out collector’s edition and 4K UHD SteelBook?) setting the stage, Gkids is gearing up to deliver a full product lineup in 2025—including a special 4K version for home entertainment.

Alison Kozberg, Gkids Director of Home Entertainment, summed it up perfectly: “The Gkids team is absolutely thrilled to continue our partnership with Riot and Fortiche. We developed our season one editions with an eye towards celebrating the entire story of Jinx, Vi, Piltover, and Zaun.” This acquisition not only cements Arcane’s legacy beyond Netflix but also ensures that fans can relive the magic in high-quality physical and digital formats.

As Arcane wraps up its final chapter—a season already lauded for its groundbreaking animation, rich storytelling, and stellar award wins, including a sweep at the Annie Awards—the deal underscores Gkids’ commitment to preserving animation as an art form. And while this marks the end of one incredible saga, Riot Games is already teasing new animated adventures from the League of Legends universe.

For fans and collectors alike, the final season’s home release is set to be an event. With distribution partners in North America, Europe, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand ready to roll out a comprehensive lineup, Arcane Season 2 is poised to be a must-have addition to any animation aficionado’s collection.

Stay tuned for more release details later in 2025, and get ready to experience Arcane like never before—on your screen, on your shelf, and beyond.
