As the polls still await to come through, let’s not overlook the history that’s already been made.
Sarah McBride has become the first transgender senator in American history. The democrat officially became Delaware’s 1st District Senate at midnight on November 4th. It’s safe to say this is a huge step for the LGBTQ+ community. In a powerful and heart-warming video posted to Twitter, McBride thanks her late husband Andrew Cray and Delaware's voters for helping her be where she is today.
History is being made across America as multiple firsts took place.
