Amazon Have Reportedly Snapped Up The Upcoming Rihanna Documentary
For a sweet $25 million…no biggie.
The Rihanna documentary has been rumoured for forever and whilst Rih keeps us waiting for new music it looks like the film will be with us sooner rather than later. Here’s what we know so far…
Rihanna has been working with director Peter Berg (they also worked together on the 2012 movie Battleship) for the past few years. Berg has gathered over 1,200 hours of behind the scenes, unfiltered, pure Rihanna gold for our viewing pleasure. We’ll get to see a whole new side of the Bajan superstar as she travels, works and gives us an insight into her family life. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon have snapped up the streaming rights to the film for a cool $25 million USD. This makes sense as they also had the exclusive rights to the Savage x Fenty fashion show back in February this year, as if we could forget THAT moment.
This news comes in the same week that Apple TV reportedly bought the rights to the Billie Eilish documentary for the same figure. Get it girls!
There is no release date on the documentary yet, but we will keep you up to date as details are announced.
