There’s something undeniably attractive about someone who knows exactly who they are. British-Ghanaian artist and producer Ako explores that feeling on his new single, “Love Sick,” a track about confidence, chemistry, and being drawn to someone without needing to define what’s going on.

Released September 24, 2026, the song is the latest chapter in Ako’s Introducing Ako series, a five-part project exploring love, relationships, self-reflection, and personal growth.

When The Chemistry Speaks For Itself

“Love Sick” focuses on the excitement of being around someone whose energy you just can’t get enough of. Rather than getting caught up in relationship complications or trying to put a label on everything, Ako keeps things in the moment: enjoying someone’s company, sharing experiences, and seeing where the connection goes.

It’s a more confident, carefree perspective on love, celebrating the kind of attraction that doesn't always need an explanation.

Getting To Know Ako

Introducing Ako is designed to reveal different sides of the artist over five releases: “Love Crimes,” “Way You Are,” “Love Sick,” “Visions,” and “Honest Pt I & II.” Each explores a different perspective on relationships and personal growth, gradually building a bigger picture of who Ako is as a musician.

His introduction began with “Honest” in December 2024, setting the tone for a songwriter willing to draw on personal experiences. Since then, he's continued developing both as a vocalist and behind the scenes as a producer.

Outside his own releases, Ako's production credits include Ray Alex’s “Disbelief,” featuring SAMSON and Wiseiris, which received support from BBC Introducing London. He has also worked on several collaborations with Wiseiris.

With “Love Sick,” Ako turns his attention to confidence, admiration, and the excitement of being around someone who naturally draws you in. It's another step in an evolving project that explores the many ways we connect with other people.
