K-pop fans, brace yourselves—aespa is back with a triple threat! The global sensations just unleashed an English version of their mega-hit Whiplash, a sped-up take for the TikTok crowd, and a remix by the one and only Steve Aoki. Fresh off a killer 2024, these queens are keeping the momentum high and the vibes electric.

Whiplash Gets a Global Glow-Up

Let’s talk Whiplash. The original banger already smashed it with nearly 150 million YouTube views and stormed the Billboard World Albums and Global 200 Charts. With its fierce house beats and aespa’s signature “we-do-what-we-want” energy, it’s no wonder fans lost it. Now, they’re giving us more. The English version is here to hook every My worldwide, the sped-up version is pure TikTok fuel, and Steve Aoki’s remix? A total dancefloor takeover with his tech house magic.

“We’re so excited to share these new versions with our global Mys,” aespa spilled. “The English version and Steve’s remix bring a fresh vibe, and we can’t wait to perform it live!” Steve Aoki added, “aespa’s energy is unreal. Remixing Whiplash was a blast—taking that fire and flipping it into something new.”
aespa’s 2024 Domination Rolls On Their fifth mini-album Whiplash hit No. 1 on iTunes’s Worldwide Album chart, and Armageddon, their first full-length, gave us Supernova—a track so huge it topped NME’s 50 Best Songs list and broke Melon records for the longest No. 1 run ever.
After slaying their SYNK : PARALLEL LINE tour across Europe (hello, Wembley!), they’re headed back to the UK for SMTOWN LIVE in London on 28 June at Allianz Twickenham Stadium. Expect a stacked lineup with NCT, RIIZE, and Red Velvet.
