Adidas Plays With A New Sneaker Colorway Ahead Of Pride Month

The Stan Smith And Carrera Low Are Getting Dressed Up

POSTED BY GILEASA EBRAHIM

June is the official month of Pride, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. With many countries still imposing lockdown restrictions, we have seen a number of pride events either canceled or postponed. But Adidas is pushing ahead with their celebrations which includes the release of a new colorway of the iconic Stan Smith sneaker and Carrera Low.

Both silhouettes feature a new pastel colorway of pink, blue and yellow. The Carrera Low maintains a clean white leather look with small hits of color on the heel tab as well as on the lateral featuring a reworked logo. The Stan Smith makes more of a statement with a stripe pattern taking over the entire upper and heel tab, constructed in fabric, blue takes over the lateral side while pink features on the medial side. The heel tab is a yellow stripe with the Adidas logo on a mix of both pink and blue. The toe box and tongue both remain in leather with the gold Stan Smith logo featuring on the tongue.

The Stan Smith will retail for approx. $110 USD and the Carrera Low comes in at approx $88 USD. There is no official release date yet but we can expect them to drop next month during Pride month across a number of stockists and on the Adidas website.
