You Have To See This New Retro Sportswear Collaboration
Adidas and Gucci have collaborated on a new retro sportswear collection.
These are two brands we wouldn’t necessarily ever think of putting together but surprisingly work amazingly.
Adidas and Gucci have finally given us an official release date for this insane collection. The teaser for their upcoming collaboration has been shown in the form of a look book shot by none other than Carlijn Jacobs. And it is safe to say it contains designs which seem to be flipping tradition on its head.
After the collaboration was first revealed in Gucci’s FW22 runway show, which had everyone on the edge of their seats, this collection has been the talk of the town. We cannot lie, it would definitely be an understatement to say we have eagerly been awaiting this collection.
The collection, designed by Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele, fills us with 70’s and 80’s nostalgia. Iconic stripes are central throughout the collection, which are indicative of the heritage of both brands. Gucci’s signature monogram is also fused with Adidas’ iconic trefoil and carefully placed across the garments. It is safe to say this is the best fusion of the brands we could ask for.
The two brands go effortlessly alongside each other to create what must be one of the most awaited collections of the year. Whatever sports item you are looking to purchase it is sure to be within this collection with them teasing items ranging from golf bags to t-shirts.
Get the 7th of June marked on your calendar, this is a collection you do not want to miss out on.
The Adidas x Gucci collection will be available to purchase in select pop-ups, Gucci stores and on Gucci’s website.
