Mamma Mia, ABBA Is Back!
The Swedish pop group releases their new album ‘Voyage’.
After almost 40 years, ABBA has finally made a comeback! ABBA had split up in 1982 and there had not been any new music ever since. That is until now. On November 5th of this year, the Swedish pop group released their new album titled ‘Voyage’. The 10 new songs evoke that 1970s and 1980s nostalgia with an additional contemporary sound to them, creating an emotionally loaded and feel-good album.
After winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with their single ‘Waterloo’, ABBA gained worldwide recognition. Now, they are one of the most known bands of all time, having sold an estimate of 385 million records in total.
Fans will also be delighted to hear that the pop group planned a long-awaited virtual concert. Although the singers will not be physically performing, the band has been able to make virtual avatars of themselves for a live performance in London. These holograms were edited to the extent of being capable of mirroring not only the band members’ appearance but also their movements through recordings of previous performances. The concerts will begin in May 2022 so be sure to buy your ticket on their website.
