A New Mood From Korean Fashion Label Pushbutton

When a balance of oddities creates something fresh and new.

It was the last day of London Fashion Week AW19 and I could see a lot of Chanel and Dior bags under people’s eyes. We took the strength to get up and have a look at Korean fashion label Pushbutton at 9 am in the morning. Was it worth it?

Hell yea. Pushbutton delivered an unexpected clash and a celebration of all things typically unflattering to create an unpredictable harmony. A wild mix of fabrics in varying textures and prints have been clashed together to create womenswear with an ultra-feminine twist. Bold oversized silhouettes juxtaposed with bustier details allude to a regal genderless spirit.

Historical dress codes played a strong role: Elizabethan collars and pourpoint jackets with a modern touch were reproduced in sporty sweatshirt fabrics and silk dressed paired with bulky sneaker. Checks, patterns, dots, leopard prints, vivid bold acid shades, frills and military detailing are blended in together to create the perfect balance of oddities in order to create something fresh and new.
