A Look At The Supreme x Dead Prez 2019 Fall Capsule

Revolutionary, but gangsta.

POSTED BY AMBER CALLENDER

For their Fall collection, Supreme have teamed up with hip-hop duo dead prez. The rappers M-1 and stic, first met in 1990 at Florida A&M University. It was their shared socio-political ideology that became the focus for their music; their empowering lyrics cover the themes racism, inequality and political injustice. In the year 2000, the duo released their debut album Let’s Get Free, which is still known as one of the most radical albums in rap history.

Dead prez also highlight the importance of mindfulness and healthy living. In a Supreme press release, M-1 stated that “When you talk about growing, expanding and awakening, it allows you to open up like a lotus to all the things that are here in the world.”

The capsule features artwork from Revolutionary But Gangsta and Let’s Get Free, displayed on hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants and quilted jackets. They didn’t skimp on the accessories either, you can also cop caps and bandanas from the collaboration.

The collection drops at Supreme’s Brooklyn, Los Angeles, London, Manhattan, Paris, San Francisco and online at 11AM on December 5th. It’ll be available at Japanese stores on the 7th of December.
