A Chanel Biopic, But Not As You Know It! Watch ‘Once And Forever’ Here
December 1st finally arrived, and along with it, Karl Lagerfeld who had another short film up his sleeve, allowing us to feast our eyes upon, âOnce and Forever’: a movie about a movie, to be precise, with Kristen Stewart playing an actress who is preparing for the role of Chanel, in a biopic.
Lagerfeld is an ambitious, creative guy, who alongside producing eight collections for Chanel already, decided that directing a short film, portraying the grand story of Chanel herself, was a natural progression.
He’s been known to say that: âItâs a modern woman, the way some movie stars behave with the red carpet, the paparazzi, all of that. If I had made the image after the image of Chanelâs past, it would be boring.â This chimes nicely with the more ‘behind the scenesâ feel of the movie itself, with Stewart pictured in one scene dressed in her usual, casual clothing, but she also gets to strut around in 1920âs Chanel throughout most of the film, which is pretty damn cool if you ask us, and reflects what Lagerfeld has done with Chanel; giving the classic, a cool, of the modern, twist.
