Meet Fashion's 8-Year-Old Cool Kid: A Lil' Artist With Major Style
She’s been dubbed a child prodigy, a fashion icon and a bonafide wunderkind. Everyone is blessed with a gift. But unlike most, Giana found hers at the tender age of three.
Giana is an 8-year-old Dallas-based artist whose proficiency in all things fashion and art rivals many creatives three times her age. The Filipina-Mexican American artist was encouraged by her parents to pursue her love of craft from an early age, but little did they know, she would quickly morph into the coolest kid in the fashion scene.
Using old print issues of her mom’s Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and I-D Mag, Giana reimagines the ads into art with colored pencils, paint and crayons. Her unique artwork even caught the eye of MÊME, resulting in a clothing range and her first solo art show. Since the collaboration, Giana has hosted another art show in LA, and she has no plans to slow down anytime soon. Giana aspires to become an artist or a scientist when she “grows up.” And considering she’s practically a mini adult already, we can’t wait to see how her style and art evolves.
If you’re a fan, head over to Giana’s website to buy her prints. You can also follow Giana on Instagram for daily fashion and art inspo.
