The adidas Triple PlatForum Hi Stacks The Soles Of The ’84 Classic

The sequel to last month’s Lo.

POSTED BY MEGAN MATTHEWS

February saw the drop of the first of three styles released under the new “Girls are Awesome” and “adidas Originals” collab. The adidas Triple PlatForum Lo was Lakers-colored and featured a stacked sewn heel. As March comes to a close, the collab has dropped another of the designs – the Adidas Triple PlatForum Hi.

Unlike the funky-colored Lo, the PlatForum Hi comes in an off-white/cream colorway, but a mix of distressed leather and suede textures add dynamism to this more simple coloring. The sneaker is decorated with the shoe accessory of the moment— the staple large metal buckle—and the silver metal of the eyestays mark this sneaker as a mood of the moment.

The most iconic design feature of these sneakers is the stacked platform heel. The three-layer rubber base evelates the classic chunky sneaker to a whole new height. The sneaker feels and looks like a dystopian version of the classic adidas Forum ‘84s.

There is no release date as of yet but it is presumedly arriving on the adidas website over the next few months.
