2025 Will Be the Year of the Zebra Print
Make way for the zebra print because it's arriving soon and is here to stay!
Different prints have come and gone. From cow print (remember those bucket hats!) to crocodile/alligator, many of these interesting and edgy prints have tried and failed to remain relevant in the fashion world. The biggest print to grace our wardrobes, and arguably the only one to have stuck around, has been leopard print. It’s long been the ‘leading lady’ when it comes to stylish prints to wear. Leopard print has helped us become bolder, edgier, and more fashionable all around. However, as much as we’ve desperately enjoyed this terrifically trendy print, it now seems that there’s finally a ‘new girl’ in town who might even be taking over, and we are more than happy to show her what’s what.
According to big fashion mags such as Vogue, Glamour, Elle, and of course, us, 2025 is set to be the year of the zebra print. It may seem like a random choice at first glance, but this baby has actually already started shaking things up for both celebrities and designers alike. Being a simple, monochrome print, it’s both easier on the eye as well as to style. It’s therefore no wonder it’s set to be the new ‘It’ trend for us all.
Celebrities such as Rihanna, Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Grece Ghanem have all been spotted wearing white garments covered in these iconic black stripes. Grece Ghanem especially was looking gorgeous. She paired some zebra print jeans with a denim shirt. And whilst she was doing this, we witnessed RiRi rocking a zebra print pajamas set on a night out. It’s clear to see that these women have already started reveling in all things zebra. And if these baddies can get ahead of the trend, so can you!
Even high-end designers such as Jacquemus and Roberto Cavalli loved this print before the trend even fully began. Just go on either of the two websites of these designers and you’ll be promptly whisked away to zebra print heaven!
Still not convinced of this print’s power? The zebra print might be an acquired taste for some, but its simplicity, resort-wear-friendly nature, and bold edginess truly make it a subtler – yet still just as fun – sister to leopard print. What’s more, you have ample freedom when it comes to just how you rock this print. You can always stick to zebra print accessories if you’re uncertain about going big with it by wearing coats, jackets, jeans, and dresses. A zebra shoulder or baguette bag can go a long way if you let it. Also, zebra print kitten heels or ankle boots can cause a big enough stir without you feeling too overwhelmed.
However, if you choose to style this delicious print, be prepared at the very least. The zebra print is on the tips of every fashion guru’s tongue, and will soon be spotted out on the streets, runways, and (hopefully) in all of our wardrobes.
