Wood Wood Channels Americana With “Before And After” FW18 Collection
Featuring a new unisex sneaker.
Wood Wood has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2018 collection and it's all about the transition from childhood to adulthood. Entitled “Before and After,” it blends its signature contemporary streetwear with classic American wardrobe staples for an aesthetic that transcends the style eras.
Referencing the songs ‘Leave Me Alone With Your Attention,’ ‘Fan Club’ and ‘Sad Songs Make Me Happy’ as inspiration, the pieces evoke bittersweet teenage years, learning to stand on one's own feet. There's a clear collegiate vibe with varsity bombers, sweaters, denim jackets and cross-body bags that look as if they could have been sourced from the thrift store or dad's '80s fashion vault (i.e the basement). Muted tones and workwear fabrics such as denim and corduroy dominate the offerings, interspersed with contemporary items such as that super-longline colorblocked satin shirt.
The looks are finished off with Wood Wood's brand-new unisex sneaker, inspired by classic '80s runners, which comes in four different colorways.
