Welcome To Saint-Tropez Balenciaga

The prestige brand has opened a new store in Saint-Tropez inspired by it’s raw architecture concept.

Is there anywhere more fitting you could fit of for a Balenciaga store than Saint-Tropez? The brand is sure to bring in lots of money being located here and let’s be honest that is probable an understatement.

Saint-Tropez is known for its exclusive beach clubs, megabucks yachts and overall just for attracting the rich and famous since the late 19th century.  And rich and famous people are of course known for repping this prestige, exclusive brand.  From Justin Bieber to Kim Kardashian, there are endless amounts of celebrities that have been captured in the brand. And when you think of exclusivity, I think there will only be a few seconds at the most until you think of Balenciaga and Saint-Tropez, so why not combine the two?

The brands incredible ‘raw architecture’ concept, first introduced in 2021, is something which has been immaculately captured in this new store. Concrete surfaces have been left intentionally bare and beams are left exposed. The store requiring little to no virgin materials is sure to add to its sustainability credentials. The new store features an incredible large curtain made from upcycled Balenciaga t-shirt’s, it is an eye-catching piece to say the least as it creates a clear contrast to the rest of the store. On the outside it is undoubtedly stunning with its warm-colored exterior seamlessly blending in with the location but, on the inside, well, it’s definitely open to interpretation.

The barely covered space offers a range of both men and women’s ready-to-wear apparel, shoes, bags and accessories. The theme of repurposing and sustainability is very visible, but what do you think? Is it minimal and boujee or does it simply look like something out of a dystopian science fiction action film?
