Vans Releases New Iterations Of The Era, Old Skool and Sk8-Hi
The designs are all ready for the Year of the Ox.
As we approach the Chinese New Year of the Ox, Vans have teamed up with Chinese designer Suwukou in order to rework some of their most classic designs across both sneakers and apparel.
The pair worked with creative individuals across the defining cultures of Vans itself: skateboarding, music, art and street style. From this they have taken three classic sneaker styles and crated new colorway iterations. The Old Skool and Sk8-Hi shoes now feature monochromatic green and pink versions and as for The Era, the sneakers will feature a new premium suede upper available in two colorways – white and baby blue.
Alongside this, Vans have also refreshed apparel with designs created by Chinese artists Gaga (Peng Lei), Chen Tian Zhuo, Chen Yi Xi (Founder) and Xiang Xiao Jun (Vans China skate team rider). The illustrations will feature on both the sweaters and jacket.
The full collection entitled: ‘Vans X THEY ARE Year of the Ox’ is dropping first in Asia – January 1 but will also be available at Vans’ stores and online.
