UGG And Y/Project Team Up To Reinvent The UGG Boot For FW18
As if UGGs could get any more polarizing.
Everyone's most/least favorite boot is making a comeback, but not in the way you'd expect. French label Y/Project has come together with UGG to redesign the toasty noughties boot, and we're pretty sure that Paris Hilton won't set foot anywhere near these.
The collection comprises slouchy over-the-knee styles that wouldn't look out of place on Robin Hood, triple-layered iterations and slides – all including that cozy lining, of course.
"The UGG Classic boot is one of the most recognizable shoes in history. Its timeless and challenging design made it a worldwide statement. Y/Project is about challenges. Since launch we've been twisting the grounded codes, we challenged the acceptable and triggered people by putting focus on the unexpected. By reworking the Classic boot with a typical Y/Project twist such as the triple overlaps and the extra-long legs we want to celebrate the UGG brand's unique history," Glenn Martens, Y/Project's creative director, said in a statement.
One thing's for sure: the collection leaves even the likes of Balenciaga's Triple-S in the dust when it comes to outright UGGliness.
You'll be able to shop them this fall from $300 to $1,400.
Next up, the '00s fashion trends we thought would never make a comeback.
