Last weekend, the California desert hosted the famous Coachella. For the 27th year, the annual music and arts festival has brought together a diverse lineup of the world’s best musicians, artists, and performers from various genres. Coachella 2025 Weekend 1 was packed with electrifying moments. If you weren’t there, here’s what you missed:

1. Benson Boone’s Epic Performance of “Bohemian Rhapsody”

Benson Boone blew fans away with an unexpected cover of Queen’s biggest hit. As if his soaring vocals weren’t impressive enough, he took the performance to a legendary status by bringing out a surprise guest — none other than Queen’s guitarist, Brian May, who delivered his iconic guitar solo. Together, the duo created a powerful performance that embodied the spirit of Freddie Mercury, creating a historic moment that united different generations of music lovers.

2. Charli XCX’s Star-Studded “Brat Summer” Revival

Charli XCX reignited “Brat Summer” with a high-energy, star-packed set that lit up the Coachella stage. She delivered crowd-favourite hits, blending standout tracks from Brat with fan-timeless anthems like Icona Pop’s “I Love It”. The set reached another level of awesome with surprise live collaborations: Troye Sivan joined her for a dynamic rendition of “Talk Talk”, Lorde appeared to perform the much-discussed “Girl, So Confusing”, and Billie Eilish stunned the crowd with a moody take on “Guess”.

Four major artists, one unforgettable performance, and a reminder of why Brat stole summer 2024. Charli closed the set with a bold on-screen message: “PLEASE DON’T LET IT BE OVER” — a clear statement that the Brat era isn’t just a phase, but a cultural movement.

3. Lady Gaga’s Theatrical Headlining Set

Lady Gaga closed the weekend with a cinematic headline performance that did not disappoint. Divided into 5 dramatic acts, Gaga took fans on emotional and visual journey — from haunting ballads to energetic dance anthems. Old and new, she delivered all the songs we needed to hear, including a jaw-dropping transition from “Abracadabra” to “Judas”, inspired by viral TikTok fan remix. With stunning outfit changes, bold visuals, and surreal vocals, Gaga reminded everyone why she remains one of pop’s most powerful live performers.

All of this in one weekend! And it’s not over yet. Coachella returns this weekend for round two of must-see moments and game-changing performances.
