The Arc'teryx x Jil Sander Collaboration Is Coming This Week

After almost a year long wait, the anticipated collection is almost here — and just in time to hit the slopes.

POSTED BY NICOLE ROGOSKY

That’s right … it’s (almost) here! The long-awaited Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2021 collaboration with Canadian outerwear brand Arc’teryx finally has a release date — and it’s this week. After eleven months of speculation, the collaboration is set to be released on Nov. 10.

The collection, according to Jil Sander's creative directors Luke and Lucie Meier, will include men’s, women’s and unisex clothing for skiing, snowboarding and outdoor sports. Falling under the sub-line, Jil Sander+, the collaboration incorporates Jil Sander’s aesthetically pleasing minimalist designs and Arc’teryx’s functional and high-grade outerwear.

To tease the possibilities of “life outside the city,” sneak peeks of the collection were revealed on Instagram. The videos included shots of an up-close model with picturesque snow hazy in the background and a far-away clip of someone skiing down a slope. Needless to say, the collection is gearing us up for those cold winter months ahead.

Luke Meier explained that Jil Sander collaborations aren’t just for show, and that “there has to be a real reason to do them.”

“It’s not just there to create hype,” Meier said. “It’s genuinely things that we like and we feel are complementary to the world of Jil Sander.”

To hit the slopes this season (or just brace the cold), you can shop the full Arc’teryx x Jil Sander collection in select stores and online on Nov. 10.
