During a situation like this, it’s a good idea to get some vitamin D supplements to help with your situation. Of course, you could also just eat more foods containing vitamin D.
In short, take supplements if you really can’t get enough nutrients from food. This also goes for people that work out and need more protein but don’t want to sit there and eat loads of chicken breast to get enough. It’s a good way to supplement your diet, but don’t consider it a full replacement.

There are plenty of new companies and brands that are getting involved in the food supplement business.
