Debunking The Myths Around Manifestation

It’s not enough to “want” it, you have to “action” it.

POSTED BY LIV LEFTWICH

We’ve all heard the term “manifesting” – it makes its presence known on Instagram, under posts that are captioned “good vibes only”, stemming from the Law of Attraction.

However, even though manifesting has become an engrained part of our pop culture, there are still many misconceptions surrounding it.

We’re here to debunk the most common myths around manifestation, so you can embrace spiritual principles to the full, and get what you want out of life.

All You Have To Do Is Think Positively

Most people that talk about manifestation, emphasize the power of positive thinking. While positive thoughts are all well and good, taking action is crucial when it comes to manifesting what you want.

You can read all the self-help books, listen to all the “motivational” podcasts on Spotify – but if you are not taking the time to absorb these avenues, and action them into your own life – it’s pointless.

The universe is not going to hand anything to you – it’s up to you to believe in yourself and action your thoughts into something tangible.

All You Have To Do Is Visualize

Vision boards are way overrated when it comes to this subject. Don’t get me wrong, visualization can be a valuable tool when it comes to creating an initial plan for your goals. However, there’s so much more to it than that.

It’s not just what you visualize that make your dreams a reality – your thoughts, actions, feelings; and the people you surround yourself with all have a part to play.

So, try to move away from the materialism that often overshadows these mood boards, and start thinking about the bigger picture!

You Have To Control Every Thought

Many people that practice manifesting get concerned that one negative thought will attract “bad things” into the universe, disrupting their pathway to happiness.

This is simply not true. Be in tune with your emotions – the good and the bad, accept those feelings and move on.

The Destination Will Make You Happy

If you are constantly fixated on envisioning a “perfect” life for yourself, then you will never feel fulfilled until you achieve that.

Learn to embrace the present, accept the here and now, and be grateful for what you have in the moment.

Practicing gratitude before you have reached your “big goals” will send out positive vibes into the universe, aiding the manifesting process.
