Sculpt Up Your Chocolate Cheek Bones With Midas Cosmetic’s Brown-Skin Girl Approved Midnight Contour Palette
Beyoncé-worthy bone structure, here I come!
Calling all my chocolate girls: Midas Cosmetics has teamed up with makeup artist Darius McKiver, also known as NeonMUA, to release a midnight contour palette full of rich hues specifically made for dark skin tones (finally!). In the past, finding contour palettes that can shade the darkest skin tones was damn near impossible. I’m talking deep ebony and dark mahogany complexions here. Thankfully, beauty brands like Midas Cosmetics are working to fill in this gap.
The palette, which is part of Midas Cosmetics’ Dusk to Dawn collection, includes four face palettes, curated by skin tone. Each one boasts a highlighter, blush, contour, and bronzer shade. The highlighter is a gold, shimmery hue that will not leave your brown complexion ashy or pasty. The deep burgundy blush is meant to add a flush of color to melanated cheeks, while the bronzer is a light chocolatey brown with warm undertones.
The idea for the palette developed when Mckiver noticed brown skin girls (like fellow beauty guru Nyma Tang) result in using eyeshadows to contour or bronze. "Dusk to Dawn was my way of doing what was 'impossible' and cater to those who have always been left out," says McKiver in a statement from the brand.
Each palette retails for $36 and will be available for purchase starting August 10th at 9 a.m. PST here.
