Sacai x Nike Set To Drop Vaporwaffle In ‘Dark Iris’
Retro vibes we have longed for this year.
Time to get excited: The third batch of the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle silhouette in purple and orange, dubbed ‘Dark Iris’, has just been confirmed with official imagery.
Ever since the VaporWaffle were unveiled at Sacai’s last November show, people were going crazy for them and sold out within 12 minutes after being released online. This time the usual mesh and suede fabric is replaced by a smooth nylon material, giving it a more retro look and feel. A blend of violet and eggplant purple hues is visible along the lateral, as well as the suede mudguard, eyestays and leather heel clip. As usual with the VaporWaffle, a double Swoosh, dual tongue, behemoth of a sole, and double lace action provide the eye-catching details. Rounding out the design are the 'Campfire Orange' heel tabs featuring the two brands’ logos and black outsoles.
Exact drop details haven’t surfaced yet, but rumours have it that we should be receiving these sneaker treasures in the coming weeks via Nike SNKRS.
