“Smoke”, her new single, is a cyclical song full of unfiltered raw emotion exposing her stripped back style, leaving room for the melody to shine and the feelings to pour. Written during the first lockdown Rona explains:

“I'd manically cleared out and cleaned my caravan, and then sat down thinking 'what the hell do I do now?'. The song ruminates over the many things that make me want to smoke – bad days, wistful moments, nights with my beautiful friends, angst and change.”

The vocals were captured in a Cathedral bell tower amongst the cawing of crows which seem to call the listener into her bucolic surroundings and hold you there.

Rona Mac has recently finished her latest music tour in October, playing at Focus Wales Showcase, Sŵn Fest, Half moon Putney, Clwb Ifor Bach and more. Other recent highlights include New York's CMJ music marathon, plays on BBCRadio6 and Radio Wales, and the success of  her debut album ‘Sheelah’.

“Smoke” is the 2nd Single to be released from her upcoming E.P 'Shades of Ham' due out on 4th March 2022.
