Rein’s Ss15 Catwalk – Concealed In The Grid With

POSTED BY BECKY WILLOUGHBY

The heavens just opened and dropped some hella Rein; the London label who’s SS15 collection is a laser cut lash out at the objectification of women.  Inspired by, and created for women, label Founders / Designers Rebecca Morter and Gemma Vanson, acknowledge that the (female) body can be a battleground and responded with the armour.

Suit up in the collection of ‘grid’ pieces: visors, coat, blazer, waistcoats, dresses, leggings, crop tops and trousers that conceal just as much as they reveal with the use of square cut out panels. Creating (at first glance) a ‘caged’ like effect on the body, that’s really a battle cry for: “I’ll show you as much as I want to show you”, standing to attention in a blackout palette, designed to kill and mock the male gaze.
