Cast your mind back to 2011, when a then-13-year-old Rebecca Black quietly uploaded ‘Friday’ to Youtube. The song, a pet project of a young teenager, might have been expected to languish in obscurity.
Instead, it became a sensation. What was called ‘the worst song ever’ got more than a hundred million views on Youtube and lead to an appearance in one of Katy Perry’s music videos for the teen.
Now, a decade later, could ‘Friday’ go viral once again?
This time, Rebecca Black has teamed up with 3oh!3, Dorian Electra and Big Freedia for an even-campier remix, filled with references to the now-cult original.
