Raf Simons Channels The Year 3000 With Latest Drop

Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons is set to a release a new footwear line as part of his Fall/Winter 2020 collection. The Raf Simons (RUNNER) was debuted at the presentation of the collection on January 15, presenting eight new kicks, many of which arriving in super striking colorways.

Following Simons’ highly sought after collab with Adidas on the Ozweego, a post on his Instagram account described the new collection as “an investigation of form and function and an exploration of shape.” The post also hinted that there will be more to come, “This is the initial step of a long-term project, to be expanded and explored in subsequent seasons,” and we can’t wait to see how the designs develop. Year 4000 styles perhaps?

The titles of the different models of the sneaker hold connotations of both futurism and optimism, named SOLARIS, ANTEI, CYCLON, ORION and 2001, and focus on the integration of natural materials such as leather and suede. The collection is set to hit retailers in June 2020, just in time to add to your summer fits.
