Feminist Devil Artist Polly Nor Back With New Exhibition
Real girl issues, illustrated.
Since her first solo show in 2015, London-based illustrator Polly Nor has gone viral: her unique and incredibly relatable drawings of “women and their demons” giving rise to a 727k-strong Instagram following and some impressive collabs, including a breathtaking animated music video and memes for Gucci. Now she's back with a brand-new show, opening next week at east London's Protein Studios.
In her vibrantly colored and intricate works, Polly Nor subverts society's objectified view of women and pays homage to the real 21st century girl – flaws and insecurities included. The “much bigger” exhibition – named It’s Called Art Mum, Look it Up after the common sentiment of her teen girl fans – will include an immersive installation “bedroom” complete with IRL bodysuit human skins from her drawings and some never-before-seen sculpture.
Nor's exhibition, It’s Called Art Mum, Look it Up will be open from August 18-22 at Protein Studios, London. You can also check out her work below.
