From Clean Girl to Party Girl: 2026’s Nightlife Revival
How to add sparkle, drama, and fun back into your wardrobe.
While the minimalistic “clean girl” aesthetic dominated 2025, with long matcha walks, matching sets, and 8 a.m. Pilates classes, I’m not the first to say I’ve gotten a little bored with the look. The problem isn’t the clean girl aesthetic itself, but how it expanded beyond our closets and into our entire lifestyle, leaving our nights feeling just as restrained as our outfits.

In 2026, it's time we take our nights back. We’ve perfected the “effortless” look, but this year represents our grand return to nightlife, putting effort, glamour, and drama into our outfits once again.
While the clean girl aesthetic is still in my heart (you can never go wrong with a white tee and jeans) and a polished look will never be out of style, party girl fashion is calling me out of my clean-girl comfort zone, bringing back fun, sparkle, and outfits that are actually made for going out—late nights included.
It’s time to start dressing like we are stepping into a 2010 high-fashion nightclub. My go-to formula to achieve the ultimate party-girl look is a pair of low-rise jeans, a sparkly top, and a fur coat. Bandage and bodycon dresses have even made a comeback, giving us another go-to option to be seen in the dark.

When it comes to styling our going-out outfits, we can now be bold with our statement jewelry, intentionally messy with our hair, and dramatic with our makeup. The clean girl lifestyle has given us all of the tools to refine our aesthetic, but adding a little party girl will help us let loose.
I’m not saying we abandon everything that the clean girl stands for. Party girls will still be waking up and putting on their matching workout sets, but they will also be embracing messiness and adding flair to their polished world. Neither our style nor our lifestyle has to be confined to one box. We can be both the clean girl and the party girl, a duality as clear as day and night.
