Rob Lowe and Alan Yang to Present Behind the Scenes Parks and Rec Podcast

Parks and Recreation star and Brat Pack alum Rob Lowe has announced that he will be hosting a tell-all podcast on the series, joined alongside Mouse Rat bassist Alan Yang. Fans are set to be treated to a season-by-season rundown of the show with special guest appearances from former writers, producers and cast members.
On the unveiling of the pod, Lowe had this to say, “This is literally the best, second best, or third best idea for a podcast I’ve ever heard. Whether you’re a Parks and Recreation fan or not, this one’s going to be fun!”
Entitled Parks and Recollection, the podcast is set to be produced by Team Coco, a digital media project helmed by writer, producer and talk show host Conan O’Brien. Fans are set to hear about all their favorite moments on the show came to be - from the origins of Lil Sebastian to the creation of the The Cones of Dunshire in-world game and even some “heated arguments” in the writer’s room over the show’s finale.
The comedy sitcom, set at a blundering Parks and Recreation Department in Pawnee, Indiana, was acclaimed during its seven season run and picked up several Emmy nominations throughout. The show has spawned several Gifs, catchphrases and conventions in its honor and last year fans were surprised by a special one-off set during the Covid-19 pandemic.
It’s clear Parks and Recreation won’t be leaving the public eye any time soon, and for that we can be grateful. Check out the new teaser above.
