A dash of nostalgia with plenty of glamour.
We blinked and the Victoria's Secret fashion show is just around the corner. With the show set to start today at 7 pm ET and the pink carpet at 6:30 pm live on platforms such as Youtube, Prime Video, and Instagram, the buzz couldn't be bigger – just take a look at the all-star cast including Gigi Hadid, Candice Swanepoel, Paloma Elsesser and Imaan Hammam to name a few to get the picture.
It's official, Jasmine Tookes is back on the runway, and for Victoria's Secret no less. The former model was a high-profile angel, but has since stepped into the world of entrepreneurship with her activewear label, Joja – although she still works on editorials and attends fashion shows.
But now she's back, and alongside Barbara Palvin to boot. ‘‘Correct us if we're wrong, but we think a *few* of you asked for @realbarbarapalvin. You want it, you got it,’’ the lingerie label stated in a reel posted on Instagram. Palvin, who has been with the label since 2019, shared in the video that she's looking forward to seeing the wings, her costume, and the girls after these six years. But the lingerie label isn't done yet.
Model Ashley Graham has also been announced. Graham has walked for several high fashion labels, from Fendi to Grace Ling, but this marks her first time with Victoria's Secret. ‘‘'I said yes to VS so you could feel seen,’’ she explained in the video, excited by the diversity the underwear brand has shown in recent years. Netizens and fashionistas alike were already delighted when the three models joined the iconic cast of angels for the show.
However, the brand showed that they had even more in store. ‘‘Hey, we've been keeping a secret, but we just can't do it anymore,'' Victoria's Secret wrote on a reel of Brazilian model Adriana Lima ordering a taxi and asking the driver to take her home. As he replies that he doesn't know where she lives, she simply says, "Can you drop me off at the Victoria's Secret show?" Considered one of the queens of angels, Lima had her last VS show in 2018 with a touching farewell. But now she's back next to Graham, Palvin, Tookes, Hadid, Banks, Swanepoel, Hammam, Elsesser, Hill, Garcia, Nicholas, and Elizabeth .
As if more surprises weren't enough, Victoria's Secret showed that they have much more to give. In a recent photo shared, Vittoria Ceretti also revealed that she will be walking for Victoria's Secret as well as models Anok Yai and Isabeli Fontana. Much of the cast hasn't been revealed yet, and probably won't be until the show. But after a mirrored photo of Fontana was leaked, netizens could only glance at the papers, which contained the faces of some of the models already confirmed, as well as others such as Irina Shayk, Eva Herzigova, Jill Kortleve, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kate Moss, and Bella Hadid.
As the clock ticks, it's showtime and we finally get to see the wings fly.
