Nike Reinvent The Air Force 1 With New ‘Shell’ Hybrid
They’re at the top of our Christmas list for sure.
The AF1 silhouette was created in 1982, whilst keeping its distinct DNA apparent, the model has undergone many developments and improvements over the years, yet has always been a classic staple sneaker for sneakerheads across the world. The new ‘Shell’ iteration reinvents the high-top silhouette, creating more of a boot/sneaker hybrid.
The new toggle lacing system creates and easy on-off fit, making practicality absolutely key. The toggle at the back of the ankle also ensures a more secure fit around the sneaker collar, without the need for retying or tightening your laces. A Sherpa fleece lines the insole of the shoe, adding extra comfort and warmth for the cold, winter months. The high tech synthetic upper is comes in a muted beige colourway which is complimented with a semi-transparent AF1 sole. The DWR spray repels the damp and the cold making this the ultimate winter must have shoe. Classic Nike detailing sits each the side of the upper, with a grey Swoosh on the outer side and an embroidered ripstop badge on the medial side of the silhouette.
The sneaker hybrid will be available on November 1st on Nike.com and selected online retailers, price is yet to be confirmed.
