Nike Celebrates Pride Month With Their ‘BeTrue’ Pride collection
The collection brings a rainbow twist to their classic designs.
To show their solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, Nike have launched their ‘BeTrue’ pride collection featuring the rainbow emblem. Nike have also shown their support by awarding twenty grants, which have totalled up to a hefty $500,000 USD, to organizations dedicated to championing LGBTQ+ rights.
The collection features their classic designs with a colourful twist. The ‘Air Force 1’ which features a holographic swoosh, pays homage to the ballroom culture of the 80s. It has been finished off with a rainbow flag on the midsole and has a rainbow stitch on the heel mark. On the other hand the ‘Air Max 2090’ is a mixture of different rainbow coloured panels, and the ‘Zoom Pegasus 37’ is printed with a rainbow gradient. The last pair in the collection is the black ‘Air Deschutz’ which features hidden colours in the interior of the criss-cross straps.
