New Dating App Pairs Pup-Lovers
‘Dig’ helps dog-lovers connect, and even finds dog-friendly date locations.
The one thing at the top of all our ‘ideal partner’ lists is being a dog-lover, and with the launch of this new dog-lover dating app, Dig, you need to look no further.
Created by sisters Leigh and Casey Isaacson, this dating app is for those who want to seek others that ‘live a dog-forward lifestyle’, as the app’s site reads: ‘If you’re lucky enough to own a pup, you know that things never work out with someone if they’re not as into your dog as you are. Dig is a dating app built to connect dog people based on what’s most important to us’.
The app allows users to show whether they’re a dog owner, lover, list preferences for their ideal, dog-loving partner, and even features potential dog-friendly dates.
Users can indicate whether they ‘dig’, ‘really dig’ or ‘pass’ their matches. There are also exclusive ‘daily deals’ from pet companies, as well as doggy-related ‘tips and tricks of the day’.
While studies have shown approximately 40% of people swiped right on an image that contained a dog (probably because they wanted to cuddle the dog more than its human) on dating apps like Tinder, Bumble and Hinge, and a survey from Rover.com found that 71% of people are more attracted to their partner after seeing them around their pet, it’s no surprise that this app has already gained so much popularity.
