The war against the coronavirus pandemic rages on, sweeping across countries regardless of size and development. With hospitals being built from scratch or within existing buildings, one of the main issues remains the lack of hospital equipment and protective gear. As the world slows down in every other aspect, the demand increases and brands have begun doing their part by transforming their factories to produce medical protective gear and masks. The latest is New Balance, known for their footwear, they have donated all of their U.S factories to healthcare in order to develop and produce face masks.

The footwear giant made the announcement via Instagram with a memorable campaign “Made Shoes Yesterday. Making Masks Today.” This follows on from their donation of $2million USD to a number of organizations from No Kid Hungry to Global Giving. Other brands such as Apple and H&M have also provided support during this difficult time for everyone.
