My 2026 Ins: Funky Accessories

If there’s one thing I’m officially done with in 2026, it’s playing it safe with accessories. This is the year I stop pretending a plain black bag and dainty gold hoops are enough to carry an outfit. Clothes can only do so much — accessories are where the personality lives, and this year, I want mine loud, weird, and unapologetically fun.

Let’s start with fun brooches, the accessory I never thought I’d be obsessed with… until now. My favorite way to add a little personality to an outfit is with brooches – my work tote has a gold tiger, my fur coat has a silver spider, and my scarf has a bedazzled oversized safety pin. Brooches are slowly taking over my life in the best way possible. They make your outfit feel vintage, chic, and fun. Each one feels like a tiny piece of personality you’ve chosen to wear.

Chunky jewelry is another non-negotiable for me this year. I’m done with accessories that disappear into my outfit. Big rings, oversized bangles, statement necklaces — I’m using my jewelry to cultivate a vibe. Adding a piece of chunky jewelry to your outfit makes you look styled, confident, and deliberate. Don’t be afraid to mix metals. Once I was fully committed, I couldn’t stop blending gold and silver.
