Moschino Gives Us Hollywood Fantasy For Autumn/Winter 21

Moschino tiresome? With Jeremy Scott never, Periodt.

POSTED BY ELLIE CORRIGAN

Who said virtual fashion week had to be boring, Jeremy Scott has done it again, like we knew he would. Fashion shows during our pandemic-ridden era can be exhausting, Moschino made sure we were awake for this one. For Moschino’s A/W21 collection Scott’s ditched the runway, replacing it with his very own Hollywood-inspired Moschino movie titled ‘Jungle Red’. Moschino gives us whiplash this season taking us on a voyage to literally…everywhere! In an ode to old Hollywood, the film took inspiration from the 1939 hit movie ‘The Women’ starring Joan Crawford.

To summarise, the film presents all the latest pieces with Scott’s cast following the theme of the movie with a remarkable all-female cohort, opening with Stella Maxwell and Winnie Harlow before taking us on a ‘Voyage’ of fashion land. The first stop being a Manhattan-inspired metropolis featuring Hailey Bieber in a pinstripe power suit following similar styles in front of the stunning cityscape scene. Next, Miranda Kerr takes us to the farm sporting a cloud and cow-covered gown. This scene also gives us Moschino’s take on the iconic potato sack shot featuring Marilyn Monroe.

Another scene transported us to a classy art gallery backdrop, featuring gowns with abstract prints turning the models into canvases with paintbrush-inspired makeup. Next up, was the Safari featuring zebra, leopard, and even giraffe prints alongside a stunning flamingo-inspired mini dress, even giving us total Zookeeper chic.

Scott ended the stunning picture show with some classic old Hollywood glitz and glam with Winnie Harlow sporting a staggering pearl adorned gown. Finishing with Dita Von Teese in a Cheeky Queen of heart inspired satin gown, closing the scene to reveal a heart-shaped cut out on her behind – We did say cheeky. Anderson, Tarantino, Nolan, get in line because this might just be this year's film favorite.
