A journey from disarray to discovery.

Milan was the stage for an innovative fashion spectacle as Moschino introduced its first dedicated men’s line alongside the women’s 2025 resort collection, under the creative direction of Adrian Appiolaza. The event, hosted in a sprawling industrial space, showcased an intriguing mix of modern and vintage suitcases, setting the tone for a theme centered around the journey of self-discovery and expressive freedom.

Appiolaza, drawing on his personal experiences and Moschino’s rich heritage, crafted a collection that blends storytelling with fashion. The concept of 'lost and found' luggage was a metaphor for life’s chaotic beginnings and the eventual finding of one's paradise. This narrative was vividly brought to life through the eclectic luggage assembly filling the venue, symbolizing the baggage one carries and eventually sifts through on one's journey.

The collection was a testament to Moschino’s enduring ethos of playful and provocative fashion. Appiolaza infused the lineup with imaginative elements that challenge conventional attire norms. Highlights included a suit designed for shredding, symbolizing a break from the past; trompe l'oeil shirts that deceive the eye; and unconventional accessories such as brooches shaped like fried eggs and a tank top made entirely of paper clips.

Revisiting Moschino’s iconic pieces, Appiolaza reintroduced Franco Moschino’s "survival jacket" with a modern twist, equipped for the city explorer with pockets filled with everyday essentials. The collection ventured further into whimsical territory with skirts adorned with real flowers, a dress featuring a playful duck print, and feathered sandals with webbed feet heels.

Beyond the playful audacity, the collection maintained a strong undercurrent of practicality and commercial viability. Appiolaza demonstrated a keen understanding of balance, presenting pieces like an elegant trench draped over a delicate slipdress, and vibrant dresses adorned with carnation motifs—a nod to Franco Moschino’s original designs.

Adrian Appiolaza’s debut collection for Moschino was not merely a presentation of clothing but a celebration of freedom and identity through fashion. The show was a compelling invitation to viewers and fashion enthusiasts to embark on their journeys of personal and stylistic exploration.
