Lucky Blue Smith And His Sister Pyper America Starring Moncler’s Aw15 Campaign
A French fashion house founded in the 1950s, and now located in Italy, Moncler is synonymous with magnetism; the energy of opposites, and their F/W 2015 campaign is no exception. Former Rolling Stone Photographer Annie Leibovitz is no stranger to edge, taking ridiculously gorgeous supermodel siblings, Lucky Blue Smith and Pyper America, to the far North to shoot in situ with the jaw dropping glaciers, icy mountains and vast fjords of a place even cooler than their names: Iceland.
Everyday pieces collide in a magic pot of nordic myth and legend. Fashion Editor / Stylist, Sean Spellman and Set Designer, Mary Howard, weave extreme sports and style, as Moncler’s signature out doors-y shapes take on eccentric versions of recognisable characters, both imagined and otherwise. A pretty, puffed up Snow Queen makes an appearance in a maxi, full quilted white skirt, alongside the hiker friendly signature puffy down jackets in metallic, black and white and leggings in neoprene. If “glacier glam” wasn’t a thing before, it is now; no scuffed up walking boots or cargo pants here!
