Missing Nike Shipments In ‘Stranger Things’ Shows Up In 2019 For New Tie-in Collection
Last seen passing through Hawkins, Indiana in 1985…
PSA! The shipments from Nike HQ that mysteriously went missing during the summer of 1985 in ‘Stranger Things’ have finally been found. Nike just announced the launch of a tie-in collection based on the Netflix sci-fi show to get you geared up for the upcoming release of the show’s third season.
The nostalgic capsule collaboration features modern takes on classic ‘80s sneaker styles as well as phys-ed class inspired apparel to match accordingly. Throwback models like the Cortez, Blazer, and Tailwind, which have been heavily used in the first two seasons of the show, will be revived in all of their retro glory for the summer of 2019.
The first drop, to arrive on June 27, incorporates a green and orange color scheme in the spirit of Hawkins High, the school all the ‘Stranger Things’ kids go to.
A second drop, dubbed the “OG Pack”, will launch on July 1 in Americana aesthetics to celebrate 1985 Independence Day, the main theme of the show’s new season. Sneakers from this release will also have a year marker on the heel and special firework display sock liner.
June 27 and July 1 – jot these dates down so you can cop the collection in time for the season premiere on July 4.
