MCM Worldwide Reignites its Past to Discover its Future for SS22.
With a visual campaign by photo-artist TORSO, MCM takes us into Spring with colour and ski-wear.
German luxury label MCM (Mode Creation Munich) have revealed its upcoming Spring/Summer 2022 collection, showcasing colorful graphics and a union function and fashion by experimentating with deconstruction.
The collection features new lines of accessories and ready to wear pieces in bright pastel pinks, greens and yellows, featuring not only the brand’s new Cubic Monogram but also the classic Visetos insignia.
Divided into distinct sections, the first looks from the collection will debut online and in-store from February 2022, with an aprés-ski line leading the charge.
Behind the visuals is artist and photographer TORSO, who directed the acclaimed time-bending Fall/Winter 2021 campaign and Burberry x SSense’s neo-noir inspired ‘A-B-City.’
Showcasing themes of reinvention and renewal, Global Creative Officer Dirk Schonenberg sees past and present intertwined in the new collection's DNA.
“For the new season we're playing with the MCM archive and giving an outlook into the future. We celebrate the brand's travel heritage through a collection inspired by freedom - movement and expressions."
Sporting the classic leather motif, new textiles have a strong accent in the Spring Summer 2022 lines, such as nylon, wool, silk and woven jacquard. MCM forges into fashion's future through its inclusion of sustainable materials like organic cotton and denim, Econyl and Re-Silk in their efforts towards greening the industry.
Keep an eye out for the campaign launch in January 2022, and the official online and in-store release in 2022.
