When we glitz and glamour, lounge around drinking cocktails on our tropical resort holidays we mostly turn a blind eye or are ignorant to the problems surrounding our piece of paradise for the week. Mabul Island of the east coast of Sabah in Malaysia, known as a diving tropical destination, is facing a very heart breaking cat problem.

The island is being taken over by our feline friends. On average, locals have around 2-5 cats living within the family home. The cats are multiplying so much so that it is becoming detrimental to not only the feline population, but also to the locals and the islands economy.
