Lizzo is Tired of Your Comments About Her Body

It’s about damn time!

Lizzo has some choice words for her trolls.

“The discourse around bodies is officially tired,” the Good As Hell singer said in a 1-minute video posted to her Twitter account on January 7th.

Lizzo took to Twitter to vent her frustrations with unsolicited comments and opinions about her body. The pop star has been a frequent critic of beauty standards and fatphobia, challenging it in both her music and social media.

“I wish comments cost y’all money so we can see how much time we are fucking wasting,” said Lizzo.

Twitter posted a content warning over the video, which garnered criticism from Lizzo supporters pointing out the irony.

“FREE MY TWEET” Lizzo wrote alongside a screenshot of the blocked video.

Lizzo is no stranger to body shaming, with her body often a subject of worldwide debate. “Do we realize that artists are not here to fit into your beauty standards?” said the 34-year-old singer in the post.

“Artists are here to make art, and this body is art,” Lizzo said.

The pop star also took on cancel culture, tweeting that cancel culture is “trendy, misused and misdirected” on January 8th. Lizzo is not holding back her opinions in the new year!

Let’s all leave body shaming comments in 2023.
