Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock Makes Her Film Debut

Leigh-Anne Pinnock makes her acting debut in the newly released British Christmas movie Boxing Day. The Little Mix singer has appeared as herself on various television series, for example guest starring on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. However, this is the first film in which she is acting.

Boxing Day is one of UK’s first Christmas movies led by an all-black cast, written and directed by Aml Ameen who also plays the lead role. The film follows the story of Melvin who after living in the US for two years, decides to visit his family back in London for Christmas with his new American fiancée.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock portrays Melvin’s ex-girlfriend, Georgia, whom he left behind without a proper explanation. Her character has now gained worldwide success as a singer, a fitting role for Pinnock. During an interview, she even stated that the character shared many similarities with herself as well, besides both being singers. Audiences will be glad to hear that throughout the movie, there are several performances which showcase Pinnock’s singing talent, making this an even more romantic and heartwarming Christmas film for everyone to watch.
