Lazy Oaf Has No Chance With Romance
Lazy Oaf is a London based fashion label designing bright bold clothing and accessories for men and women and anything in between. Founded by designer Gemma Shiel in 2001, the brand started as a small run of menâs T-shirts hand-screen printed in Gemmaâs dads garage and sold on a market stall in Spitalfields.
11 years on they effing made it! Their designs can now be found on their own website *duh!*, in their independent Soho boutique in London *is this real life?* and in over 250 stores worldwide *low key fainting*. What started as a small T-shirt collection has now evolved into a complete product range with knitwear, outerwear, shoes and they keep on adding to their ever-expanding Lazy Oaf line. Whoooo, we need a break!
Lazy Oaf collections are notoriously colourful, cartoon-focussed and always with an element of weirdness. And for their women’s AW16 collection absolutely nothing changed. Their design philosophy is not trend driven but focused on their unique directional vision referencing street wear and youth nostalgia. Autumn brings you a collection inspired by the death of romance, poking fun at slushy sentiments and true love.
