Law Roach Just Dismantled The Kardashians
Politely of course.
When Law Roach talks, fashion listens even when he’s dragging someone in the softest tone imaginable. The stylist behind Zendaya and Céline Dion went viral after an October 16 E! News interview where he was asked about Kim Kardashian’s latest SKIMS stunt: faux pubic hair underwear. His reply? A study in surgical shade.
The Roast Wrapped in Silk
At first, Roach played it gracious. He called the Kardashians “nice people” who “get pop culture.” But the tone shifted — just enough to draw blood. “I just think that they’re trying to figure out what it is that they want to say in fashion,” he said. Translation: they’re selling aesthetics they don’t fully understand. It wasn’t loud or cruel — just devastatingly accurate.
Culture vs. Commerce
The Kardashians’ long history of borrowing from Black and queer style lexicons hangs heavy here — from cornrows to bodycon silhouettes. Roach, a Black creative who’s spent his career fighting gatekeeping in fashion, didn’t have to spell it out. His critique was both moral and aesthetic: they’re imitating rebellion, not living it. The faux pubes, meant as provocation, ended up proving his point.
Most called it a “graceful drag,” the kind of burn that doesn’t blister — it just lingers. No Kardashian clapback yet, but when it comes, it’ll probably smell like coconut oil, apology perfume, and algorithmic damage control.
