Kylie Vs Kylie - Nobody Told Kylie Jenner She Wasn’t The Only Kylie

Kylie Minogue and Kylie Jenner are locked in a trademark battle over their name! Back in 2014, Jenner applied to trademark their shared name, which she uses in her marketing campaigns, most prominently her popular lip kits. Even though Minogue has held the trademark since Jenner was just a twinkle in her father’s eye, she thought she’d give it a shot. The U.S. Office of Patents and Trademarks (much to Jenner’s dismay) have decided to side with Minogue on this one, who’s plea clearly won them over.

A bit of shade was thrown in the process though, apparently Minogue’s opposition letter included referring to Jenner as a “secondary reality television personality” whilst reminding the office of her own position as “an internationally renowned performing artist, humanitarian and breast cancer activist, known worldwide simply as Kylie.”

Since then, Jenner has put in for an appeal and still hopes to win. A Jenner rep has stated that the two Kylies are sorting this battle out amicably but we can’t imagine Minogue is accepting the new Kylie on the block very well. As much as we love K Jenner, give it up girl, you can’t compete with Minogue’s fan dome, come on, she’s Kylie F*****g Minogue!
