On February 5 ‘Space Sweepers’, the first Korean space blockbuster premiered on Netflix – and it is making waves.

Made for the Cinema, this film staring Song Joong-ki and Kim Tae-ri was forced to be premiered on Netflix due to Covid restrictions. However, it did not disappoint us Sci-fi fanatics, reaching the top spot in at least 16 countries worldwide including Korea, France, Croatia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

Following western counterparts like Interstellar and Gravity this Sci-fi adventure movie is a great watch for all the family. The movie directed by Jo Sung-hee, set in 2092, features a team of space sweepers on the brink of collapse, who stumble across human like robot Dorothy.
With stunning visual details and quirky Space Opera comedy this blockbuster promises some major competition for its Hollywood counterparts.

If you haven’t had the chance to catch ‘Space Sweepers’ yet check out the trailer above.

It doesn’t look like we will be seeing this on the big screen any time soon, so get adding it to your Netflix watch list ASAP, this is one you don’t want to miss!
